2013 Christmas Cards Available

2013 christmas cardOur annual Christmas Cards are now available on a very limited basis. They can be purchased at the Historical Society Library and in the print shop for $12.00 for a pack of 10 or for $1.50 each. The photo on the front was graciously provided by photographer, Donald Reese. The greeting inside is from a 1920 Christmas card printed by Harry F. Stauffer, founder of the Conestoga Press and subject of the last two Journals of the Society and an upcoming special exhibit.

Lancaster Letterpress Fair a Success!

The Print Shop Committee traveled to the Heritage Press Museum in Lancaster on Sunday for a very nice event. Jeff rekindled some acquaintances with fellow .918 club members and I got to finally see the museum. The event along with the sponsor BUiLDiNG CHARACTER offered demonstrations, food, and letterpress work and equipment. We picked up a few small items that will be helpful in the shop, like a collection of @-signs in different point sizes.
